With a beautiful, deep glowing coal fuel bed, it offers a realistic focal point to your fireplace whilst being capable of providing powerful performance of up to 3.9kW of sublime heat. This full-depth model is ideally suited to most standard fireplaces and is designed to be fitted against a external wall.
The dedicated balanced flue kit supplied with the fire vents the fumes directly outside through a horizontal co-axial pipe (one pipe within a larger pipe). The outer pipe draws air in from the outside and the inner pipe expels combustion gases. This removes the need for a fan unit as normally found on powerflue gas fires so the fire can operate silently and the Alpena's glass front prevents drafts entering the room.
Offered with your choice of trims and frets in various finishes including a designer range. You can tailor the fire to compliment any interior décor and to compliment your fireplace material beautifully.
The manual option features concealed controls located at the bottom of the fire hidden behind the removable rest draw. Once lit, you can adjust the control knob to your desired setting giving the room an abundance of heat and ambience.
Ideal for anyone who does not want to have to bend down to operate the fire, the optional 'Easy-Flame' (EFC) control consists of discreet buttons at the top side of the Verine Alpena's trim. The buttons give you total control of the fire including switching it on & off as well as adjusting the flame heigh and heat output.
Or for armchair operation, why not opt for the fully automatic remote control? The remote control also enables you to light the pilot light with full flame control. Both the Easy-Flame and Remote control option are powered by batteries (AA) located at the base of the appliance as well as the handset and do not need any electric connection.
The Verine Alpena balanced flue is available for either natural gas or LPG homes. The LPG version is only available as a manual control. An optional flue extension is available to increase maximum length of balanced flue horizontal run to 1015mm on manual control and 973mm on Easy-Flame control models.
