With a grand mantel shelf width of 1730mm (68"), the Carron Buckingham fireplace surround is aimed at those with large rooms and wall spaces who are looking to make a dramatic impact! This grandiose cast iron mantel can accommodate most interior options such as cast iron inserts and flat, marble or granite back panels that have an overall size big enough to fit in between the larger than standard leg opening dimensions of this model. It is shown in the main images with the optional London Plate insert (wide opening) that has a dedicated gas fire or a solid fuel kit available.

This wonderful fireplace surround is crafted using traditional methods and reproduces the charming detail often found in original designs. The cast iron has a classic matt black finish that will stand out against any interior colour scheme. Each leg of the Buckingham mantel feature a large, sweeping scroll design which is complimented by a floral pattern fills the width of the chest. A deep mantel shelf of 350mm (13¾") is the perfect area to display your favourite ornaments.

The optional wide opening version of Carron's London Plate cast iron insert is a popular companion to grace the Buckingham surround. The wider opening still provides an open, 'inglenook' style feature that allows your choice of fire to be fitted in the chamber. Choose from a dedicated coal effect gas fire or for those who want to enjoy the ambience of a real fire, there is an optional solid fuel grate also available.
