An authentic glowing coal effect fuel bed and flickering flames either open or set behind a glass panel plus your choice of high quality cast fascia make the Gallery Solaris gas fire a wise choice for the discerning homeowner.
Whether your property features a full, Class 1 chimney or you live in a modern property with slimline Class 2 flue, there is a model of the Solaris gas fire that will suit your needs. Every version has the added benefit of being operated by a slide control allowing you to turn the fire on/off and adjust the flames without the need to bend right down.
Both open-fronted models are convector gas fires that produce extra convected heat from passing cold air from the room around the back of the fire then distributing it back out into the room from the top canopy. This helps heat the room up quicker to your desired temperature. The full-depth Class 1 Solaris is designed for deeper flues such as a full chimney where there is adequate space to accommodate the fires 235mm (9¼") full-depth fire box.
Properties with shallower flues such as Class 2 Pre-Cast can still enjoy the warmth and stylish looks that the Gallery Solaris gas fire offers by opting for the open-fronted Slimline Class 2 Convector. With a reduced fire box size of only 135mm (5¼"), this model is especially designed for installation where inset space is at a premium. This model still manages to maintain a respectable maximum heat output of 3.8kW.
Looking to reduce running costs? The high efficiency, glass-fronted convector version of the Solaris still incorporates the striking looks of the open flame model with the increased efficiency rated at a superb 80% and impressive heat output up to 4kW! With a inset depth of 185mm (7¼"), it is normally fitted into full chimneys or pre-fabricated 5" flues.
The glass front allows the flames to linger around the fire bed longer before entering the flue resulting in more heat for less gas used (& less money!). The glass front panel also eliminates heat from the room being lost up the chimney and draughts from the chimney entering the room.
