The handsome Gallery Asquith fireplace surround is hand-crafted from 100% natural material which has been formed over millions of years. As such, each mantel will be unique due to the subtle variations in fossil formation, veining and shade. This is one of the great attractions of natural limestone and what sets it apart from other man-made materials. Please be aware that small fossils and variations in the limestone are part and parcel of this wonderful natural product.

Standing proud with glorious rounded detail running across the chest and extending down the fireplace legs, the Asquith will create a truly stunning feature in both classical or contemporary interior settings. With attractive, neutral colour tones, it will blend effortlessly into any colour scheme and with a mantel shelf width of 1405mm (55¼"), it will fit well on to all standard size chimney breasts.

Offered here with the optional Gallery Crown cast iron insert which has proved to be the Asquith's most popular companion. The main feature being the striking arch design which encompasses the fire area resulting in a sensational focal point that will become the main centrepiece in your home. The Crown insert is available in all matt black, half polish (as main image) with the cast iron arch buffed to reveal a silver/pewter finish or fully polished with both arch and outer section in the alluring shining silver. The Crown is supplied with its own dedicated cast back section allowing you to add your preferred choice of fire.

The gas fire option compatible with the Crown insert is designed to drop into the fire chamber area and provides a superb, realistic effect with flickering flames dancing over a glowing coal effect fuel bed. This type of fire is classed as decorative effect only and the manufacturer does not quote a heat output rating. With a gas consumption of less than 7kW, an air vent is not normally required. Operated by manual controls which are hidden behind the moveable ashpan drawer at the base of the insert.

For those looking for the ability to enjoy a ambient light effect throughout the year, a dedicated electric fire will provide a glowing light set under a orange plastic moulded section with coal effect on top for added authenticity. Choose from effect only or a model that also gives you the option of 900W/1800W of convected heat whenever needed. Operated by remote control  with 3m range.

The optional solid fuel kit can be selected and will allow you to enjoy this charming fireplace to burn coal or logs. Due to the increased heat created by a real open fire, it is recommended that matt black cast inserts are chosen as polished inserts are likely to sustain tarnishing. An uprated, split & slabbed hearth will also be required for this option.
