The Eco Design Compliant Desire 5 Widescreen offers the larger viewing window from the Desire 7, and has the added benefit of producing 5kW of heat. This is the perfect choice if you need a larger stove but do not require a high heat output. Built in the UK & with Actiview™ technology to keep the glass clean, the Desire is also available with the convenient log store.
An interchangeable flue outlet (5") allow you to connect the stove at the top or rear and therefore make it suitable for a variety of installation options. Modern, simple design with a heavy duty steel body in matt black finish plus a large window letting the fire take centre stage.
All the features of Desire 5 Widescreen are available with the extra convenience and visual appeal of an integral log store. The log store increases the height of the fire chamber to eye level and also provides a convenient place to store fuel.
Those of us who live in towns and cities dwell in smoke control areas as defined by the Clean Air Act. Here you are permitted only to burn smokeless fuel or use woodburning appliances which have passed the emissions tests set by the Department of Environment Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA). The FLARE Collection Desire 5 Widescreen stove converts wood to heat so cleanly, it bears the Smoke Exempt seal allowing you to legally burn wood (and smokelsss fuels) no matter what area you live in.
This highly advanced multi-fuel stove also benefits from having passed tests set for the upcoming EcoDesign directive. Ecodesign is the European-wide program to lower emissions. It is due to come into force for stoves in the UK in 2022. EcoDesign stoves boast up to 90% few PM emission compared to an open-fire and up to 80% fewer than an old stove.
