Gallery Celtic 36" Cast Iron Combination Fireplace

Cast iron has been a ideal choice for fireplaces for many years and the classical range of reproduction fireplaces offered by Gallery including the Celtic model are still as popular as ever. Ideal for living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms*, the Celtic has a mantel shelf width of 915mm (36") so it's likely to fit well even in smaller rooms and wall spaces.

Supplied with its own dedicated cast back section, you can choose the fire type to suit your individual needs. The Celtic fireplace can be supplied with a solid fuel kit if you wish to use it the traditional way to burn wood or coal. Due to the possibility of tarnishing due to the high heat produced by burning wood or coal, polished surfaces are likely to tarnish so if you do opt for the solid fuel kit option, it is recommend that the black version is selected.

Alternatively, to save time on preparation and refuelling, there is a dedicated gas fire that gives you total control of the on/off settings and flickering flames by the manual controls discreetly located at the bottom of the fireplace behind the ashpan drawer. The gas fire requires a Class 1 flue (real chimney) and with a maximum input of 6.9kW, additional ventilation in the room is not normally required.

For homes without a chimney or flue or for those who want the ability to enjoy a warming glow effect without the need of heat, there is also a electric fire option available. This remote controlled, tapered unit drops into the Celtic's fire chamber and has a orange moulded section with coal pieces on top that provides illumination from bulbs underneath. When the room requires a boost of heat, there a fan heater with 900W and 1800W settings. Whilst the electric fire does not require a chimney, adequate recess depth will be needed to accommodate the cast iron back section (see 'Dimensions' tab).

The Gallery Celtic can be purchased in a matt black painted finish, highlighted with the raised detail buffed to a contrasting silver or as shown in images, fully polished to reveal a beautiful satin silver. Even though this gorgeous fireplace is a reproduction taking inspiration from Victorian designs, it is also been a popular model for homes with more contemporary interiors.

The standard hearth size for the Celtic fireplace is the 36" x 15". A selection of larger hearth options are also offered in case an existing carpet cut-out etc is needed to be covered.
